A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER, FRANK EDWARDS

“Initially I just wanted a single search point for cue sport competitions in New Zealand.

I decided on a web site several years ago and expected that I would create it as soon as I retired. Well, I retired four years ago and it took a period of inactivity due to a back op to motivate me into actually doing something. 

 
The plan was to have organisers add their own comps (or me to import them), then list competitions selectable by a few filters (date range, name, venue, discipline, location/area). 🤔
 
I sorted out the initial filters sorted out. Then I got working on location/region. I  was thinking of using distance as a selection​.? Hmmm… complicated.  🤪After much experimentation and thinking, I decided that detail is not needed – the form is just getting too complex. SO moving on…

my sister Jean, who fortunately is a web designer –  so by various clever and cunning means I was able to persuade her to design and flesh out this website. Together we’ve had many late-night coding sessions – often complex but along with much laughter. 🤭
